Generations Theatre to present ‘I Love a Piano’
Generations Theatre Company will present Irving Berlin's "I Love a Piano," a musical revue of Irving Berlin's greatest songs, this weekend at the New Prague Middle School Auditorium. Show dates are Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 17, at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at generationtickets@gmail.com or by visiting the GTC website, www.generationstheatre.org.
The eleven-person cast took hits such as "God Bless America," "White Christmas," "Blue Skies," "Easter Parade," and "There's No Business Like Show Business" on the road for a two-day Music Outreach Tour to 12 locations around Southern Minnesota. They started their tour at Mala Strana in New Prague and visited nursing homes, memory care facilities, and other locations to residents who would not be able to see the show normally. Cast member Angela Schoenbauer said, "The tour was the best part of doing the show." Other stops were in Montgomery, Le Center, Belle Plaine, Shakopee, Eagan, Apple Valley, Burnsville and Northfield.
