Girls fire away at Wildcats

The New Prague Trojan girls hockey team began the 2019 portion of their schedule with a convincing win over Waconia.

New Prague (10-5-1, 3-2 Wright County Conference) was scheduled to face Orono Tuesday, Jan. 8. They will host Mound Westonka on Friday, Jan. 11. The Whitehawks are undefeated and ranked No. 3 in Class A. They beat New Prague in a meeting on December 4, so the Trojans will be trying to even the score and stay in contention in the Wright County Conference. New Prague hosts Litchfield/Dassel- Cokato on Tuesday, Jan. 15, and Northfield in a nonconference game Thursday, Jan. 17.
