Living Stations of the Cross at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church

Youth at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church performed the Living Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 4. Participants ranged from fifth grade students to New Prague High School juniors. They portrayed a very moving mediation of the Stations of the Cross with more than 100 people in attendance. Brittney LaVigne led the youth in the performance, which was preceded by a soup supper.

Students who participated were Harty Kalina as Jesus, Mary Smyth as Mary, Eric Holicky as Pontius Pilate, Logan Svoboda as Simon, Trinity Ahlers as Veronica, Max and Weston Streefland as soldiers, Owen Sirek as a guard, Elle Neiderhiser, Charlotte Cleveland, Hayden Ahlers, Millie Moser, Elizabeth Smyth and Krista Novotny as the women, and Lucy Sticha, Mary Soderlund and Noah Redfearn who read the text for Living Stations of the Cross. Also helping the program to happen were the sound crew and all the parents and volunteers, plus Cecelea Sirek, George Brezina, Jeremy Sandeen and Tammy Sirek.
