Ralph Eugene Church

Ralph Eugene Church passed away on June 19, 2025. He was preceeded in death by his parents. His father was Ralph E. Church, his mother was Clarice Marie Cameron. Ralph sadly never met his biological father. He was serving in the Army and passed away 3 months before Ralph was born. At age 5 his mother remarried. His stepfather was Raymond H. Bergquist. Ralph called him dad, and he loved him very much.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Darlene Church, along with his sister Mary Shepard and husband Al and his two children Randi Church and his wife Desiree and their family, daughter Deborah Church and her family. He is also survived by his niece Lorie Beerling and her family and his nephew David Collins and his family. Ralph and Darlene are members of the AACA car club here in Nevada. They consider these members to be their Nevada Family.

Ralph graduated from Mentor, MN, high school in 1952. He attended Moorhead State University then moving on to the Minnesota State Patrol Academy.

Ralph enjoyed his career with the Minnesota State Patrol and proudly served for 33 years. He achieved the rank of Legal and Legislative Major. He was then appointed Commissioner of Public Safety for the State of Minnesota. In 1992, Ralph and Darlene moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they’ve called home ever since.

Ralph had a very sweet heart and was a very kind and loving individual. He was very friendly, and he liked and enjoyed all people. He was always willing to help when needed.

A funeral for Ralph will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 9:20 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Mem, Boulder City, NV 89005
