Robbery at TDF liquors

Chief Brady Juell is pleased to announce arrests have been made in the TDF Robbery Case.

Authorities in WI arrested our suspects in the same car used in this robbery after they robbed a bank. Numerous WI law enforcement jurisdictions were involved in the apprehension that resulted after a vehicle pursuit. Numerous clothing items and firearms were taken into custody after the arrest that confirm involvement in our case.

A Lakeville MN man was one of two of the individuals arrested. His name is being withheld at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

This arrest is very fresh and more details are coming in by the hour.

Chief Brady Juell reports-

On 3.25.21 at about 8:00pm Elko New Market Officers responded to TDF Liquors for a report of a robbery in which a handgun was brandished. Initial information from witnesses was that the suspect fled on foot from the scene southbound through the Double Wide Bar Parking lot.

Two Officers from Apple Valley, one being a K-9, responded to the scene along with numerous Scott County Deputies, and MN State Patrol Troopers. A K-9 search was done with no success. The search was called off after about an hour.

After the search was called off, there was a reported sighting of a suspect matching initial description on foot walking north of Elko New Market. The MN State Patrol Helicopter was called to the area for a search. After working with the community and viewing surveillance video, Officers learned the suspect fled the scene from the robbery in a vehicle. The Helicopter search was discontinued.

The Elko New Market Police Department learned during the investigation; this robbery may be related to another robbery of a liquor store reported in Wisconsin numerous hours earlier. The suspect, the suspect’s vehicle, along with other information leads us to this conclusion.
