Indians open State with win

Waterville Indians first baseman Nolan Grose celebrated with his teammates after hitting a home run in the Class C State Baseball Tourney Saturday, Aug. 18.

The Waterville Indians Amateur Baseball team improved its record to 32-2 with a 3-2 come from behind win over St. Benedict Sunday, Aug. 18 in the first round of the Class C State Tournament. Nolan Grose hit a solo home run and Riley Schultz hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 9th inning for the game-winner. The Indians will play Saturday, aug. 24 at 4:30 p.m. in Maple Lake against Bluffton. Check out the Aug. 22 edition of the Life/Enterprise for more on the win.
