Donald Machacek, 90, of Bloomington passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021.
He is survived by his wife Audrey of 65 years and sons Bruce (Brenda), Jeff (Lorrie Beckley), Brian (Ann), Dale, grandchildren Samantha (Justin), Andrew, Anthony, Jason and great-grandchildren Elijah and Lucian. Also, brother Leonard (Jan) and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Bessie, brothers Lawrence (LaVerna) and Bernard (Carol), nephew Dan and many sisters-and brothers-in-law.
Don graduated from New Prague High School in 1949. He served in the Korean conflict and then had a successful 43-year career at Dayton’s before retiring. Further details can be found on www. startribune.com.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, December 17, 2021, 9:30 am at the Church of Annunciation, 509 West 54th Street in Minneapolis. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Visitation Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Avenue South and ½ hour prior to Mass at Church.
