Bonita Marie Tupy, 54

Bonita Marie Tupy, age 54, of New Prague, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, March 1, 2019 at St. Gertrude’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shakopee.  Bonnie was born on September 30, 1964 in Shakopee to Lloyd A. and Carol L. (Pawelk) White.  Her parents were killed in a car accident when Bonnie was almost 4 and she was raised by her grandparents, Ed & Lillian White.   She graduated from New Prague High School in1983 and married Arnie Dale Tupy on August 11, 1984 at St.

Violet Anne Bachman, 92

Violet Anne Bachman, age 92, of New Prague, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on February 27, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital New Prague.  Vi was born January 21, 1927 near Princeton, Minnesota to Frank & Agnes (Fradette) Betzler.  She attended grade school at Swatara and high school in Hill City and Aitkin.  She met her future husband, Herschel F.

Gene Lloyd Sandmann, 81

Sandmann, Gene Lloyd, age 81 of Webster, MN, passed away at his home on February 25, 2019. Gene retired from the City of Burnsville after 28 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys, and sister, Joyce McGowan.

Aelred A. (Butch) Wagner, age 80, of New Market, MN, died peacefully on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault, MN.  A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrate his life on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Nicholas in New Market, MN.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 am.

Harry Tuma, 75

Harry Tuma, 75, of Montgomery, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale.

William “Bill” A. Pass, 84

William “Bill” A. Pass, age 84, of Jordan, MN, entered eternal peace on February 20, 2019, at New Prague Mayo Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 26, at 11 am, with a time of gathering 2-hours prior, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jordan. Father Neil Bakker will preside, with Bill’s sons acting as urn bearers. Military Honors will be provided by the Jordan Vets and New Prague Honor Guards. A family private burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Rosemary “Rosie” (Tikalsky) Busch, 82

Rosemary “Rosie” (Tikalsky) Busch, of Jordan, passed away February 17, 2019 at the age of 82.  A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 First Street West) in Jordan.  Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation one-hour prior at St.

Margaret Sticha, 71

Margaret M. Sticha, age 71, of New Prague, died peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center. Margaret was born on September 4, 1947, in Shakopee to Jerome A. and Bernice A. (Wolf) Sand. She attended St. Mary’s Purification Grade School in Marystown and was a 1965 graduate of Guardian Angels High School. Prior to her marriage to William R. Sticha on October 12, 1968 at St. Mary’s Purification Church in Marystown, Margaret worked for Scott County Welfare.

Ella Jahn, 90

Ella R. Jahn, age 90, of New Prague, died peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Ella was born on November 21, 1928, in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County, MN to Frank J. and Rose (Panek) Dietz. She attended country district school and graduated from New Prague High School. She married Harold C.

Emil Moran, 87

Emil R. Moran, age 87, of New Prague, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Emil was born on July 14, 1931 in Lanesburgh Township, Le Sueur County, MN to Amab F. and Emma (Blaha) Moran, Jr. He attended New Prague High School and entered the US Navy following graduation. Emil married Sharon R. Pecholt on March 15, 1986 in Shakopee and the couple made their home in rural New Prague. Emil worked as a mechanic for many years with the City of New Prague at the New Prague Golf Club. He was a member of the VFW.
