Margaret J. Gare, age 89, of Faribault, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at home.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Faribault, on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Margaret Janette, daughter of Herman and Lulu Lippert, was born on October 29, 1936, in Faribault. On June 2, 1956, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Gare at First Baptist Church in Faribault. Margaret and LeRoy moved from city living in Faribault to a farm in Morristown in 1972. She worked for Nutting Truck Company, and Four County Agricultural Services in Morristown and Faribault, and eventually retired from the farm. She enjoyed lake life, traveling and a good campfire. Margaret took pride in gardening, cooking delicious meals for her family and friends, going to the movies and out to eat. She and LeRoy wintered in Arizona for a few years. Margaret treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Gare) Labs, and son Alan Gare; by 11 grandchildren, Lillian, Liddia, Cecelia, Casey, Julius, Julian, Jaden, James, and Jamen Labs, and Luke and Kyle Gare; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Rylee Gare and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lulu Lippert; husband LeRoy Gare; brothers, Roland Lippert and Richard Lippert.
