Clarence F. Skluzacek, age 93, of Lonsdale, MN passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023, at The Villages of Lonsdale. Clarence was born on May 10, 1929 to Albert and Hattie (Smisek) Skluzacek on the family farm in Lonsdale. He went to the Immaculate Conception School for 10 years and then worked on his family farm. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Hertaus on June 29, 1954.
Clarence worked at packaging at what is now Post Co. in Northfield, he was a dairy and crop farmer, and he worked for his brother Albert in construction, and then retired. He prayed, and watched Mass on T.V. and attended other religious events at The Villages of Lonsdale.
Clarence is survived by his children, Roger (Sharon) Skluzacek, Donna (Ken) Kocina, Arnold Skluzacek, Karen (Joe) Korbel and Daniel (Jennifer) Skluzacek; grandchildren; David (Jillian) Skluzacek, Kim Skluzacek (Chris Lambert), Krissy (Dylan) Jenniges. Tony Kocina, Steve Korbel (Brooke Johnson), Tracie (Travis) Vikla, Kevin Korbel and Maiah Skluzacek; great-grandchildren, Henry and Walter Skluzacek, and Mary Vikla; sister, Gladys Pavek; sisters-in-law, Pat Skluzacek, Bella Hertaus, Diane Hertaus Pexa, and Jan Hertaus. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, son, Dennis Skluzacek, granddaughter, Kacey Skluzacek, his parents, sisters, Marion Skluzacek, Hattie (Ray) Vesely; brothers, Robert, Albert and (Adrienne) Skluzacek; brothers-in-law, Walter Pavek, William, Alvin, Ray (Joyce), Fritz, and Roman Hertaus, also by sister-in-law, Lorraine (Tom) Kes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Friday, April 14, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church, 116 Alabama St. SE Lonsdale, MN. Visitation from 4-7 PM Thursday (4/13) at White Funeral Home, Lonsdale, MN (507-744-2368) and also one hour prior to Mass at the funeral home. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Lonsdale. Luncheon will be served following the burial at the American Legion in Lonsdale.
