Steven A. Flynn, 45 of Green Isle entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at his home in Green Isle, Minnesota, with his family by his side.
On August 1, 1974, Steven was born the son of John and Carol (McCollum) Flynn.  He grew up on the family farm in Green Isle and graduated from Sibley East High School in 1992.  After graduation, Steven worked at various positions including cooking at Emma Krumbee’s and local bars.  He also worked at Jordan Transformer and Medallion Kitchens, however, his main-stay was driving truck for Stier Trucking.

On January 28, 2020 Ann Ruehling lost her battle with cancer. We would like to invite family and friends to share their memories and stories of Ann on February 29th from 1:00 to 3:00 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Lillian “Molly” Tupy, 84, of Northfield, MN, died Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Three Links Care Center, Northfield.
Lillian Mary Schoenbauer was born on October 25, 1935 to Joseph and Ludmilla (Kes) Schoenbauer on the family farm in New Prague. She was raised there and attended St. Wenceslaus through the eighth grade. She continued to help on the farm for a few years before meeting Ben Vosejpka at a cousin’s wedding. They were married on September 22, 1953.

Carlton E. Miller, age 87, of New Prague, died on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Carl was born on September 15, 1932 in rural Montgomery on the family farm to William H.

Robert “Butch” C. Patch, age 77 of Savage, MN passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at The Comfort House in McAllen, Texas.
Butch was born on April 8, 1942 in Farmington, MN the son of Donald and Irene (Broos) Patch. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Before retiring, Butch worked for Continental Machines in Savage.

Cecelia Kes, age 81, of Edina, formerly of Burnsville and longtime critical care nurse at St. Francis in Shakopee, passed away February 2, 2020. Celebration of Life Service is Friday, February 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM with a Memorial Gathering from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at Trinity Church (10658 - 210th Street West) in Lakeville.  Cecelia loved and was loved abundantly.

Laurie A.  Tolzmann, age 57, of New Prague, died peacefully after a 5-year battle with cancer on Saturday, February 1, 2020.  Laurie was born on December 30, 1962 in Owatonna, MN to David and Laurel (Kavitz) Bathel.  She graduated from Prior Lake High School and attended Normandale Community College.  She worked as an administrative assistant for the tribal government for 26 years..  Laurie married the love of her life, Jeffrey B.

Judy A.Rademacher, age 81, of New Prague, died peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Central Health Care in Le Center.  Judy was born on July 18, 1938 in Iowa City, IA to Richard and Irene (Virchow) Lyman.  She spent a short time in Mason City, IA until the family moved to Minneapolis where Judy graduated from North High School.  She married the love of her life, Mike Rademacher at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Minneapolis on June 25, 1960.  She had many part-time jobs throughout her life but the longest one was spent working at the arsenal during the Vietnam War.  Her true calling was

Julia Bisek, age 81, of New Prague, formerly of Minneapolis, died peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center.  Julia was born on August 31, 1938 in New Prague to Julius T. and Albina M.

Tucker Raymond Niedermayer, 11/17/1999-1/26/2020 - 20 years old.
Born to Ann and Ray Niedermayer in Burnsville, MN on 11/17/1999 and grew up in New Prague, MN along with his 3 sisters, Jessica, Jaimie and Liza.
Tucker was a one-of-a-kind adventurer who loved exploring and seeking the fun adventures in life.
His kind, giving and compassionate heart has touched many lives in the community and beyond. He was one of the biggest lover of animals you will ever meet, along with his love for his car.

Born on April 4, 1958, in New Prague, Minnesota, raised in Montgomery, Minnesota. Mary Therese Schatz-Grootveld was diagnosed with ALS in March, 2019.
She lost her battle and died peacefully in her sleep on December 7, 2019 at her home in Snohomish, Washington at 61.
She received her Master’s Degree from WWU in 2007 and her PhD. in Philosophy, with Concentration on Rehabilitation and Clinical Counseling from East Caroline University in 2017. Mary loved her job as a counselor. Her best job ever was raising her two boys.

Della A. Hruska - Long time resident of New Prague died at 9:00 a.m. on Friday 1/24/2020 at the Porter Hospice House in Centennial, Colorado. She was in hospice care since 1/20/2020. Her Dad - John Kotek died on the same day 1/24/1963. She went to St. Wenceslaus Grade school and graduated from New Prague High School. She and her husband Alvin Hruska (died 5/3/1988) owned and operated the Our Own Hardware Store in New Prague from October 1957 - October 1970.

Della “Sue” Coons, age 96, of New Prague, died peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation and Care Center.  Sue was born on February 9, 1923 in Romney, West Virginia to William J.

Virginia B. Schmitz, age 95, of New Prague, entered eternal life on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Mala Strana Nursing Home in New Prague.
Virginia was born in Jordan, on April 24, 1924, the daughter of John and Mathilda (Haus) Mayerhofer. She married Alvin Schmitz on October 6, 1943, in Jordan.

Leonard Joseph Wondra, 95, of Montgomery, died on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 at Traditions in Montgomery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 17 from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will take place at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in spring. Full obit in next weeks paper.

Ronald J. Callahan, age 73, of Shakopee, entered eternal life on Saturday, January 11, 2020.
Ronald is survived by his son, Todd (Pam); grandchildren, Dominic, Vincent and Carmella; siblings, Greg (Mary) Laban, and Cindy (Bob) Johnson. He was preceded in death his parents, Edward and Marguerite Laban; brother, Kevin Laban.
All services will be held at the Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne (Church of St. Mark), 350 S. Atwood St., Shakopee: Visitation Wednesday, January 22, from 9-11 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 11 AM.
