Carl Edward Carlson, age 88, was born on December 11, 1937, to Emery Carlson and Veronica Becker.  He passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026.  Carl was born in Willmar, Minnesota, and grew up in Montgomery, Minnesota.  

He attended college at Saint John’s University and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s in business.  

Richard “Moose” “Dick” David, age 85, passed away at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN, on April 20, 2026. Richard is survived by his daughter Darlene (Dan) Lorentz of Chaska; son Kevin (Jenny) David of Bloomington; brothers Jacob, and James; sisters Rosemarie, and Patricia; grandchildren Taylor, Ava, Ella, and Blake; and many nieces and nephews.

Gregory “Greg” Joseph Wacker, age 75, of Montgomery, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Mala Strana Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Greg was born on February 2, 1951, in Sharon Township, Le Sueur County, during a bitter winter cold snap when temperatures dipped to 28 degrees below zero. He was the son of Clayton and Margaret (Picha) Wacker. Greg attended Le Sueur High School and graduated with the Class of 1969.

Joseph E. Ziskovsky, age 96, of Veseli, passed away on May 3, 2026.

Joe was born on July 17, 1929, to Joseph A. and Otillia Ziskovsky on the family farm in Wheatland Township (Webster, MN). He grew up on that farm and continued dairy farming there for 56 years.

Jacqueline Mary Foley, age 91, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague.

Gladys L. Mader, age 85, of Lonsdale, passed away on April 23, 2026.

Gladys was born in New Prague and grew up on her family farm near Cedar Lake. She graduated from New Prague High School and remained deeply connected to farm life, continuing to work alongside her family. In 1960, she met the love of her life, Roman, and they were married in 1961. Together, they purchased their own farm in Lonsdale, where they built a life and raised their family.

Margaret "Margie" Ann Mach, age 71, of Montgomery, died on the morning of Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at her Horizon Place home in Le Center.

Michael "Mike" P. Bohnsack, age 40, of Montgomery, passed away surrounded by his family on the morning of Saturday, April 18, 2026, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Ronald “Chubby” Prchal, 75, of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 2, 1950, in Faribault, Minnesota, to Stanley and Lucille (Heberle) Prchal, Chubby lived a life defined by grit, humor, and an unwavering devotion to the people he loved.

Virginia I. Hickey, 84 of Springfield, IL, passed away at 9:44 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at The Arch of Sangamon Valley. She was born July 22, 1941, in Madison, WI, the daughter of the late Gordon and Jean Neff. She married John F. Hickey on January 28, 1961, and he survives.

Fr. George Jerome Grafsky, age 81, of Montgomery, Minnesota, died on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Cura Healthcare Center in Le Sueur.

Fr. George was born on March 10, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the only child of George and Rosemary (Hayne) Grafsky. He was raised in West St. Paul, where his Catholic faith took root at a young age and would remain the guiding foundation for his entire life. From childhood through his final days, his devotion to God and service to others shaped everything he did.

Leona Cecelia Finken, age 88, passed away on April 4, 2026, at her Lakeside Memory Care residence in Plymouth. 

Anna Marie Rosival, age 76, of Lonsdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her home.

Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Shieldsville with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Timothy Sandquist officiating. Interment will be held in the Trebon Cemetery in Shieldsville.

Rita Ann Stasney, age 94, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Central Health Care in Le Center.

Rita was born as a twin with her brother, Richard, on December 15, 1931, in Montgomery Township, Le Sueur County, to Frank and Agnes (Schleis) Choudek. She grew up on the family farm near Montgomery and attended St. Raphael Catholic School through the eighth grade. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1949.

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Iverson, age 67, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born to Richard and Doris (Perkinson) Krenik. She grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1977 before continuing her education at Mankato State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1981.

Kathryn Malone, age 96, of Montgomery, died Monday, March 16, 2026, at Traditions of Montgomery. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
