Diane Rose Johnson, age 83, of Lakeville, died in the early morning of Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Fairview Medical Center in Burnsville following a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Raymond G. Rosacker, Jr., 83, of Waseca, MN, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on July 12, 2024, under the care of his daughter Tracie, and St. Croix Hospice.
Charles “Chuck’ David Beardsley, 85, of Aitkin, MN, passed away on May 23, 2024, in Brainerd, MN, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 25, 1938. Chuck, a caring father and husband, will be remembered by his family for his dedication to and love for his family and friends. Although he may not have told you every day how much he loved and cared for you, his actions spoke louder than words.
Wayne Loren Knauss, 79, of Hawley, MN, went to his heavenly home on July 11, 2024, at SMP Health - St. Catherine North, Fargo, ND. Wayne was born in Watertown, MN, on January 1, 1945, the oldest of six children to Loren and Dorothy (Busby) Knauss. A farm boy, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in Germany from August 1967 to 1969. Wayne married “his jewel” Julia Ann Goettl on May 18, 1971, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, MN. Working for A.O. Breeders Harvester Division in New Prague, MN, he was promoted in 1975 to management for Valley Harvestore Systems, Inc.
Gerald “Jerry” Earl Mason, passed away on July 4, 2024, at Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center in Mankato, Minnesota, after battling complications of cancer.
Born on July 14, 1950 in Spencer, Iowa, Jerry was the son of Phoebe (Giles) and Donald Mason. He grew up in Ruthven and graduated from Ruthven High School. Jerry served his country in the Army and Army National Guard, where he was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War.
Ruth Ernestine Aanas, age 103, of Elysian, died on the evening of Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Ralph A Hagen, age 85, of Waseca, died on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at his home in rural Waseca.
Born on July 9, 1938, in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Samuel and Ellen (Seljeskog) Hagen. He attended rural country school before attending Waseca Central High School and graduating from the Ag School in Waseca in 1956. Ralph went on to serve in the U.S. Army. Following his discharge in 1962, he returned home and began working in sewer construction, working primarily in the metro area. Ralph enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and trips to Mystic Lake.

Josh David Landrum, born on January 14, 1980, in Mankato, Josh was the son of Mike and Kay (Meister) Landrum. He attended Waterville-Elysian-Morristown school along with Waseca High School. Josh married Angie Rosenthal on April 30, 2005, and together they had two beautiful daughters, Kiera (17) and Kayla (11). They later divorced. Josh worked for Hy-Vee Grocery Stores for over 25 years, filling multiple positions at their locations in Waseca, Owatonna, and Mankato. Most recently, he was a baker at the Mankato location.
Douglas Walter Labs passed away Monday afternoon, May 13, 2024, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minnesota.
Douglas was born in Waseca, Minnesota, on January 4, 1948, to Walter and Alice (Tollefson) Labs. He spent his childhood and school years in Waterville, Minnesota, graduating in 1967.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army on August 9, 1967, earning the rank of Specialist 4, and serving in Vietnam. Doug was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged on July 31, 1969.
Ione Martha Eustice, 85, of Waterville, died on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at her home.
Ione was born on November 28, 1938, to Herbert and Martha (Knish) Dehn. Ione was united in marriage to Charles Stangler in 1956 and later divorced. They had three children Michael, Daniel, and Kelly. She married Paul Eustice in 1969 and they had many good years together. Ione worked as a cook for many years at Meyer’s Campground, Gilligan’s, and The Bear’s Den until her retirement. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, reading, playing cards, and listening to music.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery with Fr. Tom Niehaus officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
