Robert L. Srnec, age 89, of Lonsdale, passed away on October 3, 2026. Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rita; children, Becky (Tim) Arens, Richard (Cindy) Srnec, James (Anne) Srnec, Joyce (Brian) Kotek, and Rob Srnec; grandchildren, Joe, Keith, Melissa, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Emma Rose, Oaklyn, Vanessa, and Nora Rose; also by other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Albina Srnec; brother, Milo; and sister-in-law, Lollie.

Jerel "Jake" Charles Lawson, from Eagle Lake, MN, at the age of 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 3, 2026, surrounded by loved ones and the Lord.

Michael “Mike” John Miller passed away with immense dignity, love and peace at his home in Marietta, Georgia, surrounded by family, on September 29, 2026, at age 80. While lung cancer was the medical cause of his death, Mike fundamentally died of a broken heart after caring for his soulmate and wife Judi, who passed away seven months earlier. They were married for 59 years.

Betty Ann Ziskovsky, age 92, of Veseli, died peacefully on October 2, 2026, at Mala Strana in New Prague, Minnesota.

Constance Julia Franek, known to those who loved her as Connie, passed away on December 25, 2025, at Mala Strana Assisted Living and Rehabilitation Center in New Prague, Minnesota. She was 79 years old.

Michael G. Simon, age 77, Lonsdale, passed away September 26, 2026 at Praha Village in New Prague. Mike was born July 18,1949 in Northfield, MN to Ray & Ann (Skluzacek) Simon. He grew up on the family farm outside of Lonsdale, attending Catholic school in Lonsdale and high school in New Prague, graduating in 1967.

Jane (Kerber) Michel, age 93, of Victoria, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Victoria Parish Family (8228 Victoria Dr) in Victoria with Father Bob White as Celebrant of the Mass. Visitation Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Thursday, ALL  AT THE CHURCH. Interment in the church cemetery.

Irma F. (Kovarik) Langer, age 96, of New Prague, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026.

Irma was born on June 9, 1930, in Minneapolis to Frank and Julianna (Krepela) Kovarik. She grew up in Montgomery, where she graduated from high school before continuing her education at Mankato State, where she received her teacher training.

Garold “Gary” Joseph Skluzacek, born December 9, 1950, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, September 19, 2026.

Gary proudly served in the military reserves and went on to a successful career, eventually becoming Vice President of Bakery Equipment Sales at Horizon Equipment.

Orrin Bernard Retka, age 90, of Montgomery, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.

Irene (Krause) Bednar, age 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.  

Irene Margaret Krause was born in Le Sueur, Minnesota, on January 14,1928, to Ernest and Mary (Morganthalar) Krause.  She attended grade school at St. Anne’s Catholic School and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1945. 

Karolina "Lina" Janovsky, age 93, of Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Cura Care Center in Le Sueur.

Mamie Helen (Stehlik) Busch, of Jordan, MN, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the age of 87.

Virginia Clara (Zaun) Beuch, age 101, of New Prague, formerly of Lydia, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026. Virginia was born on May 17, 1925, in Cedar Lake Township and grew up on the family farm. She was the eldest of 3 girls born to George Jr. and Clara (Scheffler) Zaun.

Audre Mae Johnson, age 82, of Lonsdale, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, August 10, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague. Visitation will take place Thursday, the 10, from 4-7 p.m. at Bruzek Funeral Home and Friday morning at church 1 hour prior to service, starting at 10:00. Burial will take place at Czech National Cemetery with immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorials are prefered to Duck Cup Memorial.

Carole Jean Hotchkiss, 85, of New Prague, MN, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at New Perspective Assisted Living in Prior Lake, MN. She was born January 3, 1941, in Kasson, the son of Herman and Letha (Brown) Eggert. Carole attended school in Dodge Center. She married Lyle Timm on June 14, 1957, and lived in the Wasioja area until his death in 1968.
