Erv Haman, age 76, of New Prague, died Monday, October 20th at his home.  A memorial visitation for Erv will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bruzek Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Wee3Beasties: Saving the Strays.

Allen Pumper, age 61, of New Prague, died unexpectedly with his family at his side Saturday evening, October 25, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital New Prague.  Allen was born on March 13, 1964, in Northfield, to Alois and Stella (Havlicek) Pumper.  He grew up on a farm east of Lonsdale, the youngest of eleven children, attended Lonsdale Parochial School and graduated from New Prague High School, where he met Jean M. Cavanaugh. These high school sweethearts married at St.

Betty Gill, age 84, of Union Hill, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 22, 2025, on the very day she and her beloved husband once celebrated their wedding anniversary.

James (Jim) Francis Kalina, age 90, of Lonsdale, MN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2025. Jim was born in Wheatland Township, MN, on January 6, 1935, to Max and Emma (Cecka) Kalina. After high school, he served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea.

Paul Adolf Swidorski, age 87, of Montgomery, died on the morning of Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home.

Rose Mary (Rosie) Gill passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 14. She was born on July 30, 1932, to Joseph and Eva (Dorzinski) Gill and grew up on the family farm in rural Union Hill. She graduated from New Prague High School and went on to dedicate her life to a long and successful career in the banking industry, retiring in 2004.

Raymond E. Preslicka, age 86, of Lakeville, died peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the BeeHive Residence in Lakeville.  Raymond was born on September 5, 1939, in New Prague, to Joseph F. and Mary (Novotny) Preslicka.  Growing up in New Prague, he graduated from New Prague High School, and after service in the US Army, he worked at Thermo King in Bloomington.  He married Jean M. Bruzek at the Basilica of St.

Kent John Crissinger, age 61, of New Prague, died unexpectedly at his home, on Saturday, October 4, 2025.  Kent was born on August 21, 1964, in Trimont, Minnesota, to John and Lorraine “Dolly” (Luedtke) Crissinger.  Kent spent most of his life in New Prague, graduating from New Prague High School.  He worked in retail sales and was currently retired.

 

Patricia J. “Pat” Gansen, age 92, of New Prague, died peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Mala Strana Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Pat was born on March 14, 1933, in New Prague, to John A. and Rose B. (Svoboda) Jirik.  Raised in New Prague, Pat attended St. Wenceslaus Parochial School, graduating as valedictorian of her 8th grade class.  She graduated from New Prague High School and worked at the bank until marrying her high school sweetheart, Arnold T. Gansen.  They married at St.

Leon J. Hartman, born September 25, 1939, entered eternal life on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

Leon J. Hartman, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Mary Lou Cloyd died peacefully on April 23, 2025, in Ames, IA, at Israel Family Hospice House.

Benjamin Scot Cervenka, known to friends and family as Ben, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of September 8, 2025, at the age of 35.
